Debbie came into my life out of my undying desire to teach my two lovely baby girls how to spin when they are older. The idea of two maidens and flyers is to have both girls drafting at each post while I treadle in the middle and mother them at the wheel. While it is still a few years away before the day will come for the girls to sit on the wheel and try their hands at drafting, Debbie sits quietly in our living room as a beautiful heirloom piece waiting for the day she will be spun on by Nadya & Petra. Debbie is special; she symbolizes warmth and my unconditional love for my lovely two little girls. She is a sweet wheel, very unassuming and a light treadler and indeed a dream to spin on.

Oh my! Forrester spindles! Because of the beautiful spindles on your site I have ordered my first Forrester lace spindle – he is making it for me and I can hardly wait!
I vote for the happy dance shoes – the ones with the swishy fringe! Have a wonderful evening with your hubby.

Since you survived a gun pointed at you in Texas, bicycled (me: in Europe with 7 children), spin, weave and have been in Japan and China, (all of which happened to me, I am interested in your Bali dancing (I was to be a dancer when I was in first grade also). The story of the Monkey King i discovered in China, then in Japan. Can you tell me anything about him from the Balanese dance sequences?

What an incredibly cool idea, having them draft while you treadle in the middle. I love it! Beautiful wheel too…
